Aurora

Ribbons of color painted
across a nighttime sky
Bespeak a glorious path
for you and I

Smatterings of gold, restless
rose, capricious green
Capture the indigo heavens
for you and I

Restless undulating delight,
weave their enticement
A silent Pan’s flute beckons
for you and I

Pan’s flute may be silent but the sky certainly isn’t. I’m sorry I have only seen the pictures. Thank you for putting the aurora into words.

Glad you shared it with One Shot

Beautiful! This reminded me of the first time I ever saw it with my husband while standing on the deck of our townhome shortly after we were married. Thanks for sharing!

The sky, the heavens, and then the music. It’s like being wrapped in color and sound.

i LOVE pan flutes – and they blend in well in the emotion you create with your poem

Well done; easy to fall into cliche with something like this and have not. Beautiful simple and fresh!

Gosh.. i fell in love with the last stanza… so immersed in love that you carried away by and into other worlds …
The repetition really added to the effect… a lovely poem!

Amazing picture. I really like the poem you wrote to it. I especially like the silent Pan’s flute, which brings lots of mental images with it. Very nice.
